We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Harrogate. This full-time role begins in January 2025 and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on student's musical journeys.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Music or a closely related subject.
* Proven experience teaching Music in a secondary setting.
* A passion for education and an ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, inspiring a love for music among students aged 11-16.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to contribute to KS5.
* Foster creativity through practical and theoretical elements of music education, including performance, composition, and music appreciation.
* Organise and support extracurricular activities, such as choir, band, or school productions.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school's music program and contribute to wider school events.
