Requirements
* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role (ideally as an Accounts Assistant).
* Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial transactions.
* Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.).
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts payable: Processing invoices, managing supplier accounts, and ensuring payments are made on time.
2. Accounts receivable: Managing customer invoices and payments, ensuring outstanding debts are chased in a timely manner.
3. Bank reconciliations: Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
4. General ledger maintenance: Posting and coding transactions in the general ledger.
5. Financial reporting: Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures and preparing financial reports.
6. VAT returns: Assisting with VAT preparation and submission.
