About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will:
1. Provide dedicated 1:1 support to individual pupils, tailoring your approach to their specific needs.
2. Lead 1:1 and small group activities to reinforce learning and develop social skills.
3. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
4. Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of learning.
5. Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
6. Be flexible, adaptable and proactive in your approach.
7. Inspire and motivate pupils to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
What We're Looking For:
1. A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
4. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of pupils.
6. Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
7. Teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.

The role is based at Richard Crosse CE Primary School, Kings Bromley. Hours are 14.25 hours per week, to be worked Wed 1pm - 3.15 pm and Thurs/Fri 8.45am - 3.15pm, term time only. Please note our term dates differ slightly from Staffordshire, and these are on our website.
