Job Description: As a result of continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious Project Manager to join the Gregory Group PMO and drive delivery of business transformation and change projects across the group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business and have a positive impact on all our people.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Managing the end-to-end delivery of transformation and change projects which support our business growth, improve our efficiency, and make life easier for our people - this will vary from group systems and processes including people, finance, fleet, shared services, compliance, transport, warehouse and HSEQ.
Risk Management: Effectively identifying and managing risk, escalating where appropriate to stakeholders at all levels including Heads of Department, Directors and Project Sponsors.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of requirements, products and services.
Financial Management: Take responsibility of financial deliverables working closely with business stakeholders and tracking spend.
Collaboration: Working in partnership with the Group Technology team - in particular Product Managers responsible for key business systems, supporting process mapping and embedding of change across the group.
Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of the PMO by sharing knowledge and experience to refine project governance processes, controls, and reporting while identifying and exploiting opportunities for process improvements and innovation to maximise operational efficiency and delivery performance.
Communication & Risk: Provide clear guidance, progress updates and instruction to operations and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Location: Predominantly based in Cullompton but occasional travel further afield to Gregory Group sites across the UK, as required.
System Knowledge: Experience of delivering projects relating to WMS, TMS and Telematics systems and processes would be advantageous.
Industry / Operational Knowledge: Relevant logistics industry experience would be advantageous
Requirements:
Education: PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM Practitioner or APM PMQ certified qualification(s) or equivalent.
Experience: Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering multiple projects concurrently, applying effective controls to manage risks & issues, budgets, and quality within a defined timeframe.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Teams, Jira)
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to all level of stakeholders
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of 3PL industry is an advantage.
Decision Making: Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives and escalate where required ensuring mitigating steps and decisions are made.
