Key Responsibilities:
1. Restorative Practice Approach:
2. Embed the new restorative practice approach across teams.
3. Invest in training practitioners and managers to build, maintain, and repair relationships with children and families.
4. Leadership and Supervision:
5. Provide professional supervision and appraisal for the team.
6. Develop a service development plan for the Academy with clear objectives, milestones, and priorities.
7. Facilitate effective communication within the team to disseminate national, statutory, and departmental initiatives.
8. Practice Leadership:
9. Cultivate a culture of professional curiosity within the team.
10. Ensure that team practice aligns with relevant organizational standards and legal requirements.
11. Prioritize continuous professional development for both self and team members.
12. Day-to-Day Operations:
13. Allocate and monitor workloads.
14. Address service delivery issues within the team.
15. Plan, evaluate, and review case work appropriately.
16. Achieve expected performance standards.
17. Conduct audits and improve performance based on findings.
18. Workforce Development and Quality Assurance:
19. Manage and deliver professional development schemes and learning programs.
20. Forecast staffing trends and plan for succession.
21. Provide quality assurance for the workforce development plan.
22. Analyze evidence-based data to drive continuous improvement.
23. Partnerships and Collaboration:
24. Develop partnerships with educational and research organizations.
25. Promote meaningful participation of individuals, families, and carers.
26. Contribute to service improvement and external assessments.
27. General Responsibilities:
28. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, guidelines, and social care policies.
29. Collaborate with colleagues and partners to enhance practice and workforce competence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
30. Experienced as a Team Manager in Safeguarding and court work.
31. Hold a recognised social work qualification (e.g. BA/ MA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW),
32. Registration with the relevant regulatory body
33. Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
34. Commitment to being on-site, for at least three days per week.
