Holiday Entitlement: 50 days annual leave per year plus all public holidays, to be taken at times convenient to the college. Holiday restrictions apply from the third week in August to the end of September, as well as the first week of every term.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Boarding to join our inspiring community and lead the boarding community, ensuring very high standards of boarding provision, pastoral care, safeguarding and compliance.
Position Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring very high standards of boarding, pastoral care, safeguarding and compliance, including the smooth running of day-to-day boarding and pastoral routines. You will also be responsible for providing strategic leadership and development of boarding which supports the philosophy, aims and policies of the college, and promotes a high level of achievement in all areas of boarding life.
Experience & Skills: You will have previous successful experience in a boarding post with significant leadership and management responsibility, a good (tertiary) level of education, with DSL training and training in pastoral areas such as safeguarding, bereavement counselling, drug awareness, disordered eating, stress management etc. You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety matters in boarding, the National Minimum Boarding Standards, Independent College Inspectorate requirements, KCSIE, and other relevant legislation. You will have a willingness to work hard with energy and enthusiasm with a friendly and professional approach, capable of inspiring confidence in colleagues, students, and parents. You will have the ability to nurture our culture in which students are treated with dignity, and relationships are rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
