Your main responsibilities as a Clinical Psychologist:
* Direct support to Looked After Children and Care Leavers to improve their emotional health and wellbeing in relation to the Staying Close project, and to provide any additional support identified as needed by statutory services to those with mental health needs.
* Working with children, foster families, residential carers, social workers and multi-disciplinary teams to promote Staying Close.
* Consultative support and training to foster carers and residential staff where there are children in placement who have Staying Close needs.
* Support the development of the Staying Close Service to help meet the needs of staff and young people across the system
What we are looking for in a Clinical Psychologist:
* A minimum of three years working directly with children, young people and families.
* Experience of dealing with crisis situations and working with emergency services
* A minimum of one years’ experience of delivering therapeutic interventions
* Experience of working in a multi-agency setting
* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Psychology, Psychotherapy) Educated to Masters’ level in a relevant discipline Registration with appropriate professional body
