Overview of role
Location: West Bromwich
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team at Allied Bakeries, West Bromwich. As a vital part of our engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our equipment and facilities. The role of a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer is a varied and challenging one. Working shifts, you will be expected to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives alongside proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site services associated with a major bakery.

Key Accountabilities
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of bakery production equipment.
2. Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
3. Work on mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, ovens, mixers, and PLC-controlled machinery.
4. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
5. Collaborate with production and operational teams to meet performance targets.
6. Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards while maintaining compliance with regulation.
7. Diagnose and correct automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations.
8. Ensure our engineering strategy is delivered consistently.
9. Deliver turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
10. Drive the performance of the Engineering function forward.
