Applications are now open for one of our two Royal College of Surgeons accredited Bariatric Clinical Fellowships.
The fellowship programme is now in its 16th year. The training is delivered by a team of four experienced bariatric surgeons. We currently perform about 600 bariatric procedures per year, with patients referred through our NHS contract as well as self-funding routes.
The Phoenix Fellowship program has a strong reputation for providing excellent, comprehensive training in all aspects of bariatric surgery. Fellows also have opportunities for clinical research, with many recent graduates securing Upper GI Consultant posts in major teaching hospitals directly after completing the fellowship.
Application is via email. Please send an email to: Emma Thomas, Non-Clinical Lead at: emma.thomas@phoenix-health.co.uk. The email should include your CV, a covering letter explaining your interest and experience in bariatric surgery, and the names and contact details of two referees.
For any enquiries about the fellowship or pre-interview visits, please contact Mr Qutayba Almerie, Consultant Bariatric Surgeon and the Programme Director of the Bariatric Fellowship at: qutayba.almerie@phoenix-health.co.uk.
