Our client is seeking a Property Litigation Solicitor to join their office in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
The firm's busy Dispute Resolution team now has an opportunity for a property litigator to join them. If you are a great advocate with strong client care, the ability to develop client relationships, and are able to work independently and within a team, then this might be the right opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Development of a client portfolio by utilizing good marketing skills, social media, and networking opportunities, including internal cross referrals.
2. Dealing with client work including court proceedings, providing advice in writing, over the phone, or during meetings, maintaining accurate records and meeting notes, and carrying out advocacy (where appropriate).
3. Adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
4. Management of client expectations.
5. Management of risk.
6. Dealing with new enquiries.
7. Case and file management.
8. Supporting in the development of other team members.
9. Participation in CPD.
10. Support in marketing initiatives including participation in the delivery of webinars and podcasts.
11. Participation in charity and networking events.
We are looking for someone with:
1. At least 3 years PQE experience of working in dispute resolution with an emphasis on property litigation including most or all of the following:
2. Business tenancy disputes and renewals.
3. Commercial landlord/tenant work including rent arrears, forfeiture, and dilapidation claims.
4. Party Wall Act disputes.
5. Possession claims including adverse possession and squatters.
6. Neighbour disputes including disputes in respect of restrictive covenants, easements, trespass, and boundary disputes.
7. Service charge disputes.
8. Development disputes.
9. Personal pride in the quality of their work which should be to a high standard.
10. Knowledge of the requirements of Lexcel.
