Responsibilities: As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings. Assist the teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons that cater to students' individual needs. Help implement personalised strategies to promote students' emotional well-being and academic development. Provide a calm and supportive presence, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Promote positive behaviour management strategies and act as a role model for students. Track student progress, celebrate achievements, and provide feedback to staff and families. Requirements: As a SEMH Teachi ng Assistant, you should have: Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs (preferred). A strong understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support students' well-being. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues. The ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in a dynamic educational environment.
