Job Responsibilities
The Year 2 Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to primary school students. They will assess student progress, provide feedback, and create a positive learning environment. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Minimum Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Relevant degree in Education or related field
3. Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
4. Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting
5. Strong understanding of child development
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
8. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
9. Experience working with Year 2 students
The Year 2 Teacher will work in a primary school setting, following the school calendar and daily schedule. They may need to attend after-school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development sessions. The role involves standing for long periods and occasional lifting of classroom materials.
