Job overview
To provide safe, accurate, and timely receipting, checking distribution and collection of goods for the Joint Equipment Service (JES). To undertake all or part of the following:
* Processing urgent SNWDD referrals.
* Processing continence prescriptions.
* Answering phone calls from the public and stakeholders.
* Arranging driver workloads.
* Ordering stock.
Main duties of the job
This post is fixed term for 12 months due to the needs of the service.
1. To undertake PC based duties, including the input of data, and the provision of Management Information reports.
2. To liaise with all sections within JES to expedite orders.
3. To liaise with suppliers where appropriate.
4. To communicate with District Nurses and Occupational Therapists to organize a safe and reliable delivery service from stores to patients’ homes.
5. To liaise with patients/patient’s families to organize safe and reliable delivery/collection of medical aids.
6. To ensure the system is maintained/updated for continence assessments.
7. To assist with receiving of goods, stock rotation and the picking and packing of goods where necessary.
8. To collate and organize delivery documentation.
9. To operate and maintain documentation in relation to Procedures.
10. To arrange the servicing and maintenance of medical aids.
11. To assist in stock takes.
12. To assist in the arranging of drivers’ work schedules.
13. To deputise for other stores staff when necessary.
14. Any other duties appropriate to the grade, which might be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE or equivalent, or equivalent relevant administrative experience.
Skills
* Knowledge of Cardiff & Vale area.
* Ability to speak Welsh.
Specialized Skills
* Knowledge and experience of customer care techniques.
* Knowledge of multi-drop scheduling.
Personnel
* Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
