We are looking for an experienced, hard-working and motivated Theatre Manager to lead the launch of the Canary Wharf Theatre, which will open as the home to the world premiere of The Hunger Games: On Stage in Autumn 2025.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL:
* Extensive experience of managing a large team in an arts or events environment
* Exceptional financial acumen, with a commercial mindset and experience managing a substantial budget / P&L
* Strong understanding of Employment Law in relation to casual and permanent workers
* Significant exposure to venue, facilities and H&S management
* Experience and knowledge of delivering accessible services
* Demonstrable experience of implementing a customer service strategy
DESIRABLE:
* Valid First Aid qualification
* Personal license holder – the Theatre Manager will be the DPS
* H&S qualification (eg. IOSH)
* Experience with ACAS or a qualification with the CIPD
* Knowledge of the service/hospitality industry for restaurants and bars
* Interest in theatre and the arts

TERMS AND BENEFITS
* Permanent, full time
* Variable shift pattern between Monday & Sunday with evening, weekend & Bank Holiday working as required
* 24 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays, pro rata to length of contract
* 2 month notice period
* 50% off at the on-site restaurant when you are dining, outside of peak times

Job Requirements
Reporting to: Head of Group Operations
Reporting to you: Deputy Theatre Manager, Restaurant Manager, Facilities & Technical Manager, Front of House Manager
Location: Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, Water Street, Canary Wharf
Contract Type: Full time, 40 hours per week across 5 out of 7 days Monday – Sunday, including occasional evenings
Salary: Circa £50,000 D.O.E
