An exciting opportunity to establish and lead “Extra time AMS” our new after school provision, whilst also leading high quality, targeted interventions on a full time permanent basis has arisen. We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified candidate with previous relevant experience as an HLTA or class teacher. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the vision and skill set required to lead a new whole school initiative alongside senior leaders. They will demonstrate a commitment to developing themselves fully as a professional whilst supporting our school ethos to ensure that our children continue to grow and enjoy success with their learning. About the role Successful candidates would work 32 hours and 30 minutes per week between 11:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday during term time only. This role will require you to: lead our new after school provision developing and delivering a purposeful programme of activities. withdraw pupils individually and in small groups to run a programme that supports pupils’ specific areas for development, using your own initiative to select resources. provide targeted support in lessons including English and Mathematics. work alongside children on a one to one basis supporting individual learning needs. In addition to this we are looking for candidates who are able to: demonstrate a thorough understanding of effective procedures for safeguarding children. train to provide first aid support across the school and on visits. complete relevant Health and Safety training to support them in this role.
