Job overview
Eastbourne Day Surgery/Sussex Surgical Centre are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse and/or Operating Department Practitioner to join our theatre teams as a Multi-skilled Practitioner.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, dynamic and caring individual who is able to work within a challenging theatre environment delivering a high standard of safe care and effective practice.
Day Surgery covers a wide range of specialities including Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Breast, ENT, and Max Fax.
Day Surgery operates between the hours 07:00-19:30, Monday - Friday. These hours are under review as part of reconfiguration for the new Sussex Surgical Centre opening.

Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, maturity, reliability, flexibility and be highly motivated individuals seeking a challenge who will thrive in a busy environment.
You must be committed to cooperative team working at all times.

We have a dedicated full-time practice educator who will provide support and continued professional development with opportunities to enhance your experience.
Previous theatre experience is desirable.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
* Evidence of relevant CPD
* Theatre Practitioners must be registered with the Governing Body
* Working towards Mentorship and CPD at degree level
Experience
* Experience of working in an acute hospital setting
* Previous experience of working as part of a team
