We are currently looking for Specialist Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of person-centred care to adults predominantly with learning disabilities/complex support needs.
Main duties:
1. Provide an excellent service to individuals with learning disabilities, requiring a safe and supportive care environment to achieve their personal outcomes.
2. Enable individuals to participate in a variety of activities both in-house and in the local community that encourage independence and self-worth, promoting individual health and wellbeing.
3. Support the service operation Monday to Friday to provide a schedule of activities and therapies in conjunction with health professional support as determined by individual levels of support needs.
4. Facilitate opportunities and activities that maintain and improve people’s health and wellbeing while providing respite for families.
5. Support people to live, contribute, and develop valued relationships within their communities, encouraging naturally occurring support networks.
Ideally, you will have:
1. NVQ2/3 (required within two years of commencement)
2. Registration with Social Care Wales (immediate application upon commencement)
