We are looking for a Performance Manager to join Thames Water on a permanent basis.
You will be working across the geographical area of Banbury and to the South of the town, where you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of up to 15 Sewage Treatment Works along with managing a small multi-skilled team of up to 12 technicians.
Location: Hybrid - Banbury (STW)
You will operate out of the main site at Banbury but will visit other sites making a driving licence and car owner essential as you will need to travel throughout your working week.
You will work 36 hours a week Monday to Friday, along with participating in an out-of-hours rota for escalations and advice, for which you will receive additional payments.
Offering between £39,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on your level of experience.
What you will be doing as a Performance Manager?
You will effectively lead the Health & Safety culture of the team as well as driving and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
With the impact of our operations on the environment being at the forefront of everything we do, you will be tasked to drive improvements in the operations of your sites and the assets within them, looking at ways to change what we do for the better of all parties, mainly our customers and of course THE ENVIRONMENT.
Driving the team to achieve optimal performance in terms of work management, along with being responsible for developing the team and introducing new skills and Health & Safety Awareness.
Managing the budgetary and financial activities of the team and driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget.
Customer & Stakeholder Management - ensuring exceptional service to our customers with early personal interventions as required.
What should you bring to the role?
1. Previous experience managing operational staff with a proven track record of engaging and developing their team; ideally with field-based members within a utility industry.
2. Able to demonstrate a strong focus on continuous improvement.
3. You will be used to taking the lead and achieving results ideally within a similar industry.
4. Possess significant process management experience and knowledge with strong skills in operations, Health and Safety and Finance.
5. Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
6. You will need to be competent in using IT equipment/systems and be able to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
7. Financial management skills and commercial awareness to be able to demonstrate identifying and achieving financial efficiencies.
8. Due to the nature of this role, a full valid driving licence is needed.
