Construction Informatics Associate (0.8FTE, Fixed term 3 months)
Construction Informatics and Digital Enterprise Research at Leeds Beckett University focuses on the investigation, design, development, deployment and use of digital technologies and solutions such as cloud-based platforms, big data analytics, IoT and Machine Learning, amongst others, to address various issues affecting productivity, sustainability and/or efficiency in the AEC industry.
In collaboration with our industry partners, we are currently executing various externally funded projects funded by Innovate UK. We are seeking to appoint a Construction Informatics Associate to support one of our ongoing projects on a part-time basis (0.8FTE) for a period of 3 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements for system development, analysing and synthesizing information from testing and evaluating our automated portal, and supporting academic dissemination activities.
The role will require a mix of strong experience in academic research and collaborative projects in the area of construction informatics. You will have a relevant degree in construction, engineering, computer science, or other related areas, with experience of appropriate dissemination of research outcomes, including journal publication and knowledge exchange activities. A PhD degree in a relevant area would be desirable.
You will join the School of the Built Environment, Engineering and Computing based at our City Campus and contribute to the delivery of our growing research and undergraduate and postgraduate provision.
