An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy Team. This is a rotational post. We provide high quality support to our patients and are looking for a motivated, flexible and forward-thinking Pharmacy Assistant. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join our friendly team of assistants, technicians and pharmacists. The post holder will work flexibly to deliver a Pharmacy Service rotating between:
1. Dispensary: dispensing medication for inpatients and outpatients from the pharmacy robot.
2. Aseptic services: working in our newly refurbished aseptic suite at the Beacon Production Unit supporting the team with preparing chemotherapy treatments, this is a Pharmacy run production unit with specialist equipment to help prepare individual patient treatments.
3. Ward Distribution: carry out a medicines top-up service on wards and assist with other medicines related duties i.e. medicines expiry checks, stock checks and returning medicines.
4. Stores: Receiving deliveries of pharmaceutical goods to support the store person.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good general education to include Science, Maths and English at grades A* to C
* Must be able to communicate in English Language, both written and verbally appropriate to the post.
* Must have NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent in-house training.
* Experience in working in Aseptic production.
Experience
* Demonstrated experience of working in a Community or Hospital Pharmacy.
* Any knowledge/ experience in aseptic production or working in clean rooms.
Additional Criteria
* Good communication skills on the telephone, via email, face to face and in written correspondence.
* Professional and responsible approach at all times.
* Ability to organise own time.

£24,071 to £25,674 a year. Minimum 22.5hrs per week preferably working 7.5hrs per day.
