Job Description
2nd Line Support Engineer required for a leading client based in Bodmin. This role involves providing technical support across desktops, servers, networks, and cloud services, both onsite and at multiple client sites. It’s an excellent opportunity for an IT professional seeking hands-on experience in a fast-paced MSP environment or for an experienced MSP engineer looking for their next challenge. You will work with diverse technologies, clients, and security-focused environments, enhancing your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and client engagement skills.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
1. Provide second line technical support across desktops, servers, networks, and cloud services.
2. Deliver on-site support for a high-security client, ensuring compliance with security policies.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues remotely and in person.
4. Support Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and networking technologies.
5. Proven experience in second line IT support.
6. Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD).
7. Solid understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, WiFi, IPsec, VPN).
8. Hands-on experience with Windows Servers (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPOs, Print Management).
9. Excellent communication skills for professional client engagement.
10. A full driving licence (client site visits required).
11. Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC level or higher).
