User Experience Designer – Digital
* Salary: £47,198 - £49,634 per annum plus excellent benefits
* Location: Walsall, West Midlands
* Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week (minimum two days in the office)

We’re looking for a User Experience Designer to join our team and play a key role in shaping intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital products. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, developers, and users to ensure every design decision is driven by insight and best practices.
Main job responsibilities:
* Employ research-driven methodologies and agile design techniques to ensure that products or services meet user expectations and drive business value.
* Conduct user research using methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing and ethnographic studies to understand and analyze user behaviour, preferences and pain points through data and insights.
* Work with the Product Manager to create user personas, journey maps and workflows to represent diverse user needs.
* Develop wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes to help visualize solutions.
* Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including product managers, developers, business analysts and stakeholders to align on user requirements.
* Ensure the design process is iterative, incorporating user feedback at every stage.
* Advocate for user needs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity and usability standards are met.
* Use design thinking principles to solve complex problems from a user-first perspective.
* Conduct usability testing and heuristic evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
* Monitor and measure the effectiveness of designs post-launch through user feedback and analytics.
* Document design decision, research findings and processes clearly for the team members and stakeholders.
* Present and articulate design concepts and strategies effectively.
We're looking for someone who has:
Strong understanding of user experience design principles and methodologies.
* Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe, InVision)
* Knowledge of usability standards, accessibility standards e.g. WCAG and responsive design practices.
* Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods
* Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
* Empathy and active listening skills to understand user needs.
* Creativity in generating innovative and user-friendly solutions.
* Analytical mindset to interpret data and translate insights into actionable designs.
* Attention to detail to deliver high-quality polished designs.
