We're looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Product Team.
Our Assistant Merchandiser will be there to support in the day-to-day running of the department, working alongside the Merchandiser, buyers, and designers to create balanced & exciting ranges for the Adanola Brand. You will help the team in making sure we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time!
You’ll have an eye for detail & being analytical is at the forefront of everything you do. Within the role, you’ll be responsible for using relevant data to ensure that sales are optimised for your department. You’ll work closely with our Senior Merchandisers to make impactful decisions for the department.
About the job:
* Support in the planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy, based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.
* Manage inbound of stock considering cover targets, launch deadlines, and overall business needs.
* You’ll use data to optimise the sales volume & profitability of your product areas.
* Review sales forecasts based on performance and action re-forecasts where necessary, continuously considering risk and opportunity within your area.
* Analyse & monitor best & worst sellers and use this information to make informed trade actions on a weekly basis.
* Review performance of all new launches considering KPIs to make informed decisions, flagging any additional sales opportunity/risk. Consider seasonality & lead times within decision-making.
* Support the Merch Admin Assistant with any administrative tasks & develop their skill set where needed.
* Manage departmental line cards, ensuring cover is maintained to target & reviews risks/overperformance, highlighting actions to the wider team.
* Ensure strong size availability through accurate sizing analysis across the department's core range.
* Work closely with the E-Commerce & Marketing teams to ensure maximum visibility on site for best sellers.
* Oversee MAA workload day-to-day & support training and development needs.
* Key contact for suppliers in the day-to-day running of the department.
About you:
* Proven experience at Assistant Merchandiser level is preferred.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Organised with excellent time management skills.
* Detail-oriented.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
