EC have an opportunity for a seasoned Strategist to join our team. In this role, the first of its kind, you’ll be joining us at a pivotal point in our journey. As one of the first hires into our newly created agency team, you’ll be ultimately responsible for helping us develop strategically robust solutions for our clients, as well as campaigns for EC as a business (working closely with the Marketing team). You’re a highly experienced Strategist looking for a new challenge with a brand at the start of an exciting growth journey. You’ve delivered strategic thinking for pitches and clients across B2B and B2C events and brand experiences. You are adept at engaging with clients to comprehend their needs, translating them into focused agency briefs. You are happy to lead the creative strategy process, crafting creative briefs and collaborating with creatives throughout the development process. You’re experienced in working with internal marketing teams, with the ultimate aim of creating insightful content to fuel demand and lead generation. You are driven by the high that winning new business brings. You love pitching, and can pull together proposals that will blow competitors out of the water. Your written and verbal presentation skills are second to none – you know how to read a room, you’re confident, you listen and you respect others’ opinions You have experience of unlocking opportunities and strategically delivering growth on client accounts. You’re a team player and can work well with internal stakeholders including Client Services, Creative, Content and Projects. You have a genuine passion for live events with a solid background in working both B2B (ideally large-scale conferences) and B2C (brand activations). You’re both curious and commercially minded – you relish identifying relevant consumer insights and anticipate future trends, translating them into tangible opportunities that will give us the leading edge. Day to day responsibilities : Strategy Development (new business & existing clients) Taking client briefs and interrogating them, asking the right questions to get the information we need to pull together a compelling solution. Developing the creative strategy brief that will anchor creative work and ensuring this is carried through to the execution and delivery of projects. Alongside Client Services, working on pitches with support from our Creative, Content, Projects (Producers) and Production teams as required. Working extremely closely with our Head of Creative to develop creative strategies and campaign ideas for clients (pitches and existing business). Written and F2F pitch presentation and Q&A. Nurturing leads from the Marketing team (with their support) with robust keep in touch strategies and content. Always on the hunt for insight driven opportunities from new and existing clients, and not afraid to make proactive approach recommendations. Build strong relationships with clients, mapping out strategic account plans to stimulate growth with the Client Director and Account Directors. Working with clients to identify and solve any challenges they may be facing. Working closely with the Projects team, who are responsible for delivering and executing the won business, ensuring strategies are executed and KPIS met. Supporting the Client Director and Marketing Director to execute the agency business plan. Evaluating opportunities commercially. Internal Marketing Collaboration Working with our Marketing Team on joint Sales and Marketing strategies and campaigns to support demand and lead generation. Support with positioning us as thought leaders in the events and experiential space e.g. by writing trend reports or thought leadership articles. Proactive in suggesting marketing campaigns in reaction to current trends or industry happenings. Assist the Marketing Director and Client Director in formulating the relevant approach for client events and workshops. R&D Development of any new product offerings, methodologies and tools as required (e.g. reporting and measurement). Constant research into trends / future trends to stay ahead of the pulse and one step ahead of our competitors. Process & Governance Following company policies and procedures Why EC?
