Lead Developer - Manchester - Hybrid, 2 days a week on site £60-63k (DOE) Market Supplement The Lead Developer will lead the Development team and work closely with delivery leads, project managers, and architects to manage the prioritisation and allocation of the workload. This role provides technical guidance, reporting, and advice on the best development methodologies. The Lead Developer will be involved in writing code, analysing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of software. Responsibilities: Provide input into Digital IT strategic planning and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Plan and allocate Development resources for strategic and operational projects. Drive Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practices. Lead, motivate, and manage the performance of the development team to ensure high-quality, customer-focused service. Ensure adherence to InfoSec standards and quality management processes. Drive continuous improvement and automation to enhance velocity, quality, scalability, and security. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Proven commercial experience with C#, SQL, .Net, and RESTful APIs. Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, with strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Strong leadership experience in delivering complex software solutions in an Agile environment. A solid background in mentoring and leading developers and testers. Knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies and web application frameworks.
