Service Engineer
Field-based in the Chester/Manchester/Preston area (with UK wide travel at times)
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well-respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in providing our customers with the best in class quality service. You will focus on the Industrial market by providing on-site corrective/preventive maintenance for customer’s water treatment equipment, including equipment swap outs and emergency response.
Once fully trained and competent, you will be required to carry out commissioning work on standard equipment and provide after-sales technical and commercial support. As part of this role, you will also be required to complete risk assessments, work reports, activity reports, and other documentation. You will be expected to go on the 'On Call Rota' once fully trained.
Some responsibilities of a Service Engineer include:
* Developing and maintaining good working relationships with customers.
* Observing, abiding by, and enforcing the Company’s and client’s Health & Safety policies.
* Providing on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offering after-sales technical and commercial support.
* Carrying out commissioning work.
* Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and all other documentation.
* Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required.
* Proposing and undertaking any relevant training approved by your line manager.
* Gathering site information and compiling site log-books for customers, maintaining and auditing.
General requirements for the role:
* Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering qualification.
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Good communication skills, punctual, presentable, and willing to learn and develop.
* Knowledge and experience of the company products, applications, and markets is desirable.
* Knowledge and experience in water treatment is desirable.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.
* Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
* Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
* A good level of IT competency.
* Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
