Position Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Crisis Practitioner within the South Glasgow Mental Health Crisis Team as a dynamic member of our multidisciplinary team. The post holder will provide support to individuals with complex mental health needs who present in ‘crisis’ and who require intensive mental health care and treatment at home as an alternative to hospital admission. The post holder will also work closely with inpatient services to facilitate early discharge from hospital.
Working Hours: This is a full-time, permanent post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A live NMC UK pin.
2. PVG scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
3. A current driving licence.
4. A relevant mental health qualification.
5. Appropriate up-to-date registration with your professional body.
The post will be carried out under the supervision of a band 6 Senior Crisis Practitioner, with whom you will participate in formal line management supervision. You will be required to carry out ongoing assessments, including risk assessments, whilst liaising with and updating multiple stakeholders – GPs, CMHT, MHAU, Specialist Services, and 3rd sector organisations.
