Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years experience in logistics / freight forwarding / supply chain and will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our market presence, foster strong partnerships, and drive revenue growth. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Overall responsibility
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential partnerships, and new business opportunities. Analyze competitive landscape and provide insights to senior management.
Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company’s market position and drive growth.
Opportunity Identification: Proactively seek out and evaluate new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and products/services.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, industry influencers, and internal teams.
Proposal Development: Lead the development of business proposals, presentations, and strategic plans for potential clients and partners. Ensure alignment with company objectives and value propositions.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and finance, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve business development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or a related role, with a proven track record of driving growth and achieving targets.

Reporting Requirements
To ensure all client records are up to date and accurate at all times.
To complete & update clients freight profiles.
All filing, correspondence & communication records are up to date & easily accessible and identifiable on Uniserve systems.
Customer feedback is positive.
Ensure all quote requests are acknowledged immediately and responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
Ensure all quotes are logged, followed up and recorded on the quote log and recorded in M/F or Sugar as directed.
