You will promote social inclusion and offer opportunities for our service users to access a range of community settings. Support service users by encouraging their living skills in their own home in a person-centred way that promotes the principles of social inclusion. You will be assisting with everyday life skills, personal care, housework, shopping, cooking, attending appointments, administering medication, keep records and record information in service users support plans. You will also work as part of a team supporting people to manage their anxieties and distress and to keep them safe. Our service users are active so expect to be out undertaking a range of activities including walking and swimming. Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF6 SVQ2 or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration. You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the registration period.
