Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a Specialist day school based in Rugby. The school provides high-quality education for boys and girls aged 6-16, meeting the needs of a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, evaluate, and review learning programmes that facilitate physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
* Teach individual pupils/small groups and review lessons, teaching, and learning styles in accordance with school practice and policy.
* Participate in preparing pupils for public examinations and in assessing pupils for such examinations; record and report assessments; supervise during examinations.
* Supervise and teach pupils whose teacher is absent, as practicable.
* Participate in the review of the development and management of curriculum-related activities.
* Act as a faculty coordinator, responsible for coordination, self-evaluation, and development planning for the group of subjects.
Qualifications/Experience
* Previous teaching experience at the appropriate age range.
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Appropriate Subject/Key Stage knowledge.
* Ability to deliver a flexible differentiated curriculum to pupils functioning at low levels of ability.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
* High standard communication/interaction skills.
