IT Support Analyst Engineer
Our Client is looking to recruit an IT Support Analyst Engineer with at least 3 to 5 years experience in IT Network and Support ideally from a banking environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, and to provide IT support to staff and other group colleagues.
2. Assist in the response to service outages and other IT related problems as well as maintenance and upkeep of security systems.
3. Provide IT Support and assistance to branch staff concerning IT related matters in a timely fashion.
4. Maintain the IT infrastructure of the Branch by providing first line support for software, hardware, and networking, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
5. Support endpoint security standards (antivirus/firewall/patching/two-factor authentication).
6. Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope.
7. Assist the IT Manager in delivering various IT projects.
8. Provide End User Computing support for all staff.
9. Coordinate between the London Users and Group IT Security on all requests for systems access.
10. Implement Disaster Recovery and backup procedures to preserve the Branch's assets and ensure compliance with Group requirements.
11. Provide IT support to ensure the smooth running of daily and periodic reports for the London Compliance team.
12. Undertake Data Extraction for reporting requirements for other stakeholders at the branch.
13. Hold Administrator function for some of the systems housed at the Branch, responsible for granting access and maintaining system matrix.
14. Monitor overall networking equipment (i.e., Network Switches, Firewall, and other appliances) and support inclusive of the server room.
15. Plan and carry out maintenance checks to ensure IT Operations and infrastructures are running smoothly.
16. Manage inventory of computers and network equipment, including tracking purchased equipment and services.
17. Maintain the BCP site for continuous bank operations.
18. Maintain the branch PABX system and ensure that the recording system is operational.
19. Perform monthly infrastructure tests and report for Risk Assessment.
20. Manage Incident Handling procedures, including monitoring and post-incident follow up.
21. Support Branch operations as needed and any other tasks assigned by the General Manager.
22. Comply with all applicable FCA/PRA conduct rules and mandatory training as set by the Branch/Group.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor or Master’s degree or professional qualification in relevant discipline (IT/Information Systems/Computer Science/Technology/Programming/Information Science/System Engineering/Computing).
* At least 3 years of experience in IT, ideally in the Banking/Financial industry, with in-depth knowledge of and troubleshooting experience with Windows, Office applications, and conferencing applications.
* Proficient in common operating systems, software proficiency, networking (IT), programming languages, project management, and data analysis.
* Strong interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills (in English).
* Strong stakeholder engagement.
The position is based in Central London.
The salary will be in the range £40K - £45K.
