Monday-Friday Days + On-Call-Rota
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites and are looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer
* Carry out reactive maintenance & repairs of all production machinery, industrial processing equipment, elevators, hoists, roller, extruders
* Working on quite heavy industrial machinery & equipment
* Dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, belts, drives
* Follow PPM schedules, continuous improvement projects
* Repair and maintenance of building fabric & site services when needed
* Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining
* Be part of the team call out rota, covering call outs on site and over the phone assistance
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be an experienced mechanically biased maintenance engineer
* Apprenticeship trained
* Qualified - NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 higher in mechanical engineering
* Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
* Flexible person - open to working on a call-out-system - paid at premium rates
* General mechanical fitting, fabrication and welding skills
* Team player and positive character
* Worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives
* Manual machining - milling, turning, grinding, use lathes
* Ideally have worked with industrial processing equipment
