The Building Control Surveyor Role
As a Building Control Surveyor, you will be responsible for advising on building regulations and compliance, conducting site inspections, and providing expert guidance to clients, contractors, and design teams. You'll carry out detailed plan checks, offer technical advice, and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Key Building Control Surveyor Responsibilities
Advise clients, design teams, and contractors on building regulations and compliance requirements.
Conduct detailed plan checks and design reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
Attend client meetings to provide professional guidance on building control matters.
Carry out site inspections to monitor progress and confirm adherence to building standards.
Provide technical advice and solutions to ensure safe and compliant project delivery.
Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
The Building Control Surveyor
Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
Membership with RICS, CABE, or CIOB is preferred.
Proven experience in building control or a related role.
Strong knowledge of building regulations and compliance processes.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with clients.
Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
