We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainee Recovery Support Worker. As a Trainee Recovery Support Worker, you will help us to deliver the best service to our service users and understand how the work of the Psychosocial Interventions Team supports transformational change and resilience. As a Trainee Recovery Support Worker, you will support the team by delivering brief interventions, harm minimisation advice, as well as supporting and signposting to other departments we work closely with in the prison. You will be supporting and developing individual care plans from service user assessments and learn to develop risk management plans. You will contribute to the through-care needs of the service users and how to safely transfer care into the community upon release. Within this role you will undertake several mandatory training courses such as; Professional Boundaries, Facilitation Skills, Trauma Informed Care and Substance Misuse. You will also work closely with members of the clinical team here at HMP Onley and have the opportunity to shadow clinical reviews with our service users. Please note the salary will increase to £24,000pa on successful completion of the probation period and any required training An interest or knowledge of the Criminal Justice Sector An interest or knowledge in the field of drugs and alcohol Good time management skills A commitment to engage in training and continuous professional development Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Experience of working with IT applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Organised and able to prioritise workload Passionate about supporting change and empowering others Excellent communication skills Having a full UK driving licence would be desirable due to the rural location and poor transport links.
