As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Survey Data Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you’ll be doing
* Manage data relating to survey models, machine control, data collection/or monitoring
* Work with IT to provide appropriate solutions for the project
* Ensuring resilience of survey data, storage devices/solutions for project
* Manage subcontractor interface
* Interface with 3rd party data collection where applicable
* Ensure that survey data is input into the design solution as part of the technical project life cycle
* Manage site records of all data related tasks, including survey data management plan
* Ensure the mentoring and training requirements of survey data team members are met
* Set individual development objectives, including the timely completion of Balfour Beatty PDR’s for members of the survey data team
* Attend site meetings with designer, clients and be customer facing
Who we’re looking for
* An ability to work collaboratively with all teams
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
* Specialist knowledge of software relation to their area of data management
* Interfacing with design partners – with emphasis on OCRA (Originate, Check, Review, Approve) process
* Knowledge of and checking design deliverables in various digital formats
* Knowledge of setting up and maintaining of machine control systems
* Knowledge and experience in geodetic requirements for construction projects
* Knowledge, experience, and skill of implementing up to date survey data reality capture methods, inputting data and managing within design models
* Knowledge and experience of setting up local base networks and establishing connected site environments
* Knowledge of managing large data sets, and capture lessons learned during the project lifecycle
