JOBTITLE: PROJECTMANAGER
REPORTINGTO: OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
ROLE:
TheProject Manager (PM) will be a part of a team which as a group willperform the duties to install Security Systems at a variety ofcustomer premises. Generally this role is to project manage andcoordinate the installation of all or some of the orders that thecompany receives. A great deal of initiative and autonomy isrequired as well as flexibility in adapting to future changeswithin the company and fluctuations within theworkload.
You willalso be responsible for the supervision of the InstallationEngineers and any Contractors being used from time to time and inparticular the compliance with the Health and Safety andEnvironmental Policy requirements of the company and theclient.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties willbe based upon all or part of thefollowing:
TheOperations Director (OD) will allocate new projects to the PM; theywill then be responsible for the planning scheduling installationand handover of theproject
Onreceipt of a new job file the PM with the OD will review theproject to ensure that they are fully conversant with the contractconditions; they will also ensure that the equipment specifiedconstitutes a working and suitable system in liaison with theSalesman and the customer and where necessary resolve any queriesat thisstage
Anypredetermined program of works and delivery schedule will be notedand actioned any changes will proactively be notified to thecustomer and the Salesman; should there be no previous agreementthen the customer shall be informed as soon as possible of thearrangedprogram
ThePM will be responsible for monitoring the profitability of allprojects under their control; any concerns should be highlighted totheOD
ThePM will monitor the progress of their work at all times and willadvise the OD of any changes through regular ProjectReviews
Itwill be the responsibility of the PM to ensure that the customerand any other interested parties are kept up to date with theprogress of theproject
Where the PMexperiences difficulty in fulfilling their duties or finds theprogram of works not on schedule particularly where LiquidatedDamages may be incurred the OD will be advisedimmediately
ThePM will provide or organise any relevant customer training andensure that commissioning and completion certificates are signedandprovided
ThePM will ensure that all applicable documentation is provided in asuitable format at the time of handover to theclient
Giving adequatenotice the OD must be informed of any pending project completionsto allow a handover or attendance if felt necessary by the OD orother members ofstaff
ThePM will give feedback on all information to ensure the mostefficient customer invoicing schedule for all their ongoingprojects
Comply with BSEN ISO9001 Health and Safety and NACOSS procedure or local countrycodes whereapplicable
Comply with allcompany GDPR and ISO27001 procedures and obligations and ensurethat those reporting to you do thesame
Carry out anyreasonable requests frommanagement
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Aminimum of 2 years project management experience with a similarcross section of jobs in quantity andvalues
Strong workingknowledge of Electronic Security Systemsinstallation
Training in or agood awareness of standard forms of contract such as NEC3/4 JCTetc.
Competent togenerate and understand a program of works with Microsoft Projectorsimilar
