Envirocare Grounds Maintenance are looking to employ an experienced Manager to work in the Wakefield area who can get used to our company and be trained over the winter with the expectation of sourcing and setting up a depot, with gradual staffing. To provide a presence on site to benefit supervisors and teams.
Duties to include:
1. Issuing clothing and PPE.
2. Completion of required paperwork, ensuring team communication of required policies and procedures, site-specific risk assessments for all sites, etc. Ensuring information folders are present in vehicle for team reference.
3. Integrate manual completion of site works with the individual teams and give them assistance as a routine.
4. Recognition of one-off works opportunities – allied to increasing orders.
5. Resolving equipment issues as they arise.
6. Increase efficiency of schedule and rounds planning and timings.
7. Provision of quotes, maps, and RAMS for new sites.
8. Audits and quality control of site contracts.
9. Playground reports and inspections completed within the proper time scales.
10. Maintain and manage completion of planned scheduled visits. Identify areas of weakness and improvement in performance and clarify any confusion that the team members may have regarding their expected roles.
11. Office time to be kept to a minimum. Emails checked first thing and last thing during working day.
12. Recording attendance and timekeeping, handling employee issues and ensuring prompt resolutions.
13. Co-ordination and management of travel time. Promote cost effectiveness and minimal downtime.
Your usual hours of work will be 6.30am till 4.00pm (8.5 hours per day, start and finish time may be adjusted) Monday to Friday (March to October) and 8.00am till 4.00pm (November to February).
