Job Description
Our Internal Communication team is at the very heart of Entain and we’re looking for a Senior Channels Manager to lead and deliver our global channels strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on all things IC channels and digital experience, and passionate about delivering a best in class experience to our people around the globe.
This is both a strategic and tactical hands-on role, where you will continuously push the boundaries to ensure Entain’s internal communications channels deliver world-class experiences.
We are seeking a dynamic communications and digital experience expert to take ownership of designing, executing, and evolving all Entain-wide Internal Communications (IC) Channels.
In this role, you'll be accountable for both tactical delivery (80%) and strategic planning (20%) of our global IC platforms, hybrid/virtual events production and internal comms tools. For this reason we'll need this person to be within commuting distance of our London offices, spending 2+ days in the office each week.
You will:
* Lead and action the ongoing quick fixes, enhancement and innovation of our internal communication channels, using the latest technologies and content trends to deliver exceptional user experiences.
* Own the operational success of Entain.Me (our intranet), ensuring it remains a best-in-class global platform that meets the evolving needs of our employees including resolving day to day issues.
* Manage and personally own the technical production and execution of global Teams live/Townhall events, hybrid and virtual, ensuring flawless delivery and engagement across the company, as the go to expert.
* Align our IC Channels strategy with the broader HR and workplace technology agenda by working closely with the People Services and End User Service teams to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.
* Provide actionable advice and hands on support to optimise our IC Channels, integrating them with our broader tech stack and physical office spaces to enhance employee engagement.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for all internal communications, offering practical support in planning, content creation, execution, and measurement for both online and offline initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
* Actively act as a leader within the Internal Communications (IC) team, setting performance standards and driving a culture of excellence.
* Execute and manage the internal comms channels strategy, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Take full ownership of the Entain.me platform: resolve technical issues, audit content and structure, and implement fixes. Lead the design of user experiences and manage the product backlog. Provide training and resources to enable business units to manage their own content and page creations effectively.
* Track and analyse the performance of communication channels, generating regular (monthly) reports with actionable insights for stakeholders, focusing on optimising output for the Internal Communications team as content creators.
* Implement and maintain a system to measure the success of IC channels and their content, delivering ongoing feedback and data to demonstrate impact.
* Serve as the go-to expert on IC Channels, platforms, and analytics, ensuring seamless integration with other technologies.
* Apply industry best practices and trends to enhance the digital experience and engagement across internal communications initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., People Solutions, IT, Property) and external suppliers to ensure timely updates, fixes, and performance optimisation for all internal communication tools, including the intranet, emails, video platforms, and collaboration tools.
* Engage with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, prioritise needs, and manage the development and enhancement of communication channels.
* As the expert and channel owner, oversee the execution, production and measurement of global virtual and hybrid events, ensuring flawless delivery and engagement.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all IC solutions meet specifications for departments like People, DEI, Compliance, and Legal, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
* Develop and maintain a prioritised IC solutions roadmap that reflects business needs, risks, and resource allocation, adjusting to evolving priorities.
* Translate business needs into clear requirements for new features, working closely with delivery teams to ensure timely and efficient rollouts, and present updates to leadership and stakeholders.
* Identify and act on opportunities for improvement and innovation (no matter how small) within internal communications channels, promoting creativity and adaptability.
* Stay informed about advancements in communication technologies and tools and recommend and implement new solutions to improve the efficiency and impact of internal communications.
* Train and coach Internal Communications Partners as superusers of all IC platforms, ensuring they are equipped to utilise enhancements effectively.
* Quickly develop a suite of self-serve materials to empower the business to communicate effectively, regularly updating and maintaining.
* Own the internal face of the IC team on Entain.me - maintaining content to enable visibility and ease of support.
Qualifications
* Expert knowledge of Internal Communication channels and best practices including the use of Microsoft products in delivering SharePoint, Viva, and Power products.
* Technology savvy, self-starter with a passion for project work, leading and driving initiatives.
* Capable content creator e.g. video, imagery.
* Strong business insight and judgment to navigate ambiguity.
* Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
* Strong expertise in digital communication platforms and tools, with a deep understanding of user experience and engagement metrics.
* Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
* Strong understanding and expertise of Microsoft technologies including SharePoint, Viva, and Teams used in Internal Communications and Engagement
* Good creative, technical, and platform knowledge to create and deliver brilliant content in a compelling way through the appropriate channel including intranet, video, print, digital and social media.
