Purpose of Role The Business Magazine Group focus on informing, connecting and promoting businesses in the South. We believe in the value of high-quality information and that bringing people together has the power to generate amazing results. The role will be predominantly office/home based with one day a week at our HQ in Camberley, Sur r ey, some travel to clients may be from time to time. The Media Sales Executive will support the Media Sales Manager in generating, managing and closing opportunities in print and digital advertising within The Business Magazine and our online platforms and to further build their direct end user client base. You will be a result orientated, ambitious individual. You should be capable, confident and energetic with excellent communication and organisation skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities Sales Building relationships and networking Selling advertising, content and sponsorship in person and on the phone Use social media tools such as linkedIn to engage with existing new new potential clients Always on the lookout to increase turnover Identify opportunities to find business with existing and repeat clients Manage the sales process to a close Work with sales director to understand opportunities in the market Use a variety of software packages (including, Google Docs, Zoho, Sharepoint, Teams) Report on successes across a number of products, be responsible for each product to reach targets Company Culture Support Company culture wholeheartedly, sharing the company’s vision and values with staff and encouraging a positive working environment Personal development: Continue your professional development in consultation with your Manager Participate in training programm es to improve your skill set and develop your potential Person Specification Education & Training: Experience selling advertising in the media sector (Desirable) Knowledge & Skills: Proven sales track record (Desirable) Excellent proven communications skills – both written and verbal Ability to build rapport Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite Experience with Google Docs / Google Drive Ability to work as part of a team Ability to manage own workload Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met Ability to use social media.
