An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established company renowned in the electrical testing and measurement industry. Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager Apprentice based on their customer site in Dover (Kent). This is a full-time, temporary role for 2 years. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week with early finish on Fridays, to start ASAP. The role is paying £11.40 per hour.
Role summary:
As a Project Manager Apprentice, you will support project planning, coordination, and communication to ensure smooth execution. This role provides hands-on experience in project management while preparing for future leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Coordination:
o Support the Programme & Systems Manager and Project Manager with daily tasks.
o Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and milestones.
o Help coordinate tasks between different teams or departments.
2. Communication & Stakeholder Management:
o Serve as a point of contact between teams and stakeholders.
o Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and any necessary adjustments.
o Organise and facilitate project meetings, preparing agendas and recording minutes.
3. Risk & Issue Management:
o Identify potential risks and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
o Track issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
4. Budget & Resource Management:
o Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses.
o Coordinate with teams to ensure proper resource allocation and utilisation.
5. Task & Performance Monitoring:
o Use project management tools (e.g., Jira, Celoxis, Reqsuit, etc.) to track tasks and deliverables.
o Ensure teams are on schedule and address any roadblocks affecting progress.
6. Quality Control & Compliance:
o Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
o Help with compliance checks, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
7. Reporting & Documentation:
o Prepare status reports, performance metrics, and post-project evaluations.
o Maintain project documentation for future reference and audits.
