About Diffblue
Diffblue is one of the most powerful use cases for artificial intelligence in the world today. Developers typically spend 25% to 50% of their time writing unit tests and it is not a task most enjoy. Our product – Diffblue Cover – is a generative AI agent that automatically writes and maintains unit tests for Java applications. It works 250 times faster than a human and is 26x more productive than an experienced developer using the latest LLM-based code assistant tools like Copilot. We enable our customers to ship better quality software faster and with less toil for developers.
Diffblue spun out of the University of Oxford and is backed by leading UK VCs like IP Group, Albion VC, and Parkwalk as well as Citi (also a customer). Our software is used by some of the most demanding and sophisticated software development organisations in the world, including BNY, Capital One, S&P Global, ING, and Workday.
As an early-stage company in one of the hottest software markets, Diffblue offers a fast-paced, customer-focused, empowering, and collaborative working environment. If you’re interested in a company where your skills and effort can make a difference every day, then you should check us out.
The Role
In this role, you will take the leading role in delivering a new category of AI software that automatically generates tests for software, making developers more productive and accelerating software delivery.
You’ll combine your product management skills with your passion and enthusiasm to develop and define a winning product strategy and turn it into a clear, prioritised backlog of stories and epics for Diffblue Cover. You will partner closely with Diffblue’s CTO / Cofounder and the engineering team to acquire, integrate, and synthesize inputs from myriad sources, including customers, prospects, partners, competitors, analysts, and academics.
You have delivered B2B products that developers love and have a software development background, ideally in the Java space. You are comfortable with DevOps and agile, and can converse just as well with developers as you can with IT leaders. You love to influence and collaborate with customers, partners, developers, support, and sales engineering teams that share your passion and exhibit good judgement in selecting strategic opportunities to do so.
You understand that effective communication starts with great listening skills and a strong sense of curiosity. You’re willing to ask why until you get to the true essence of an issue. You believe that focus and ruthless prioritization is essential in a world of scarce resources. You can operate at both the strategic and tactical levels, and you’re not afraid of rolling up your sleeves. You know that speed, agility, alignment, and effort are part of the magic that enable little companies to win against the incumbents.
You don’t just want to be part of an industry movement, you want to be out in front leading it. You will be reporting to our Co-founder and CTO, Dr. Peter Schrammel..
