We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Health & Safety team at our Banbury site on a full-time permanent basis.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
The Health & Safety Coordinator will collaborate closely with our internal Health and Safety, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure the company maintains all required certifications (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001) and remains legally compliant in all health, safety, and quality activities.
Key Duties of a Health & Safety Coordinator:
* Implement improvement actions related to MAH (Major Accident Hazard).
* Ensure a suitable risk assessment process is in place to establish MAH scenarios.
* Maintain control and records for contractors and site maintenance.
* Manage waste disposal and site hygiene; maintain an effective competence management system.
* Understand and uphold all aspects of the Health and Safety Management System.
* Ensure plant and machinery are safe and compliant with legal standards.
* Provide guidance on statutory requirements and company standards.
* Conduct and support risk assessments related to SHEQ.
* Assist managers with Health and Safety Risk and COSHH Assessments to meet legislative standards.
* Participate in and deliver Health, Safety, and Environmental training, including inductions for new staff and agency workers.
* Advise on current H&S legislation, guidance, and best practices.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, good practices, and compliance inspections (preferably under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974).
* Experience with Root Cause and Trend Analysis is desirable.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and proactive team member.
* Keen eye for detail and methodical approach.
* IOSH qualification is preferable.
