Responsible for implementing and maintaining high standards for the facilities used by the Grocery Service Centre in Liverpool and ensuring that all compliance and regulatory requirements are met and adhered to at all times.
Responsible for effectively managing the site related service activities at Liverpool by ensuring contracts exist, are complied with, value is added, and improvement achieved and ensure the maintenance of a secure, safe, and operational environment for all colleagues, visitors, and service providers.
Key Accountabilities
1. Identify key service-related activities that ensure a secure, safe, and clean working environment for employees and visitors alike. Negotiate, define, and manage relevant contracts to cover these areas.
2. Along with service providers, define service level agreements and manage delivery of contracts within these agreements.
3. Actively look for improvements in service across all contracts.
4. Manage the budget and budgetary controls for the maintenance of the site excluding the Hotplate.
5. Ensure all statutory inspections are carried out and maintenance of appropriate records including pressure testing, electrical testing (fixed and portable), and airflow monitoring. Asbestos, pesticide, poisons coolant registers. COSHH records. Legion all at risk, ladder, and lift assessments etc.
6. Along with Facilities staff, organise Contractors and obtain estimates for any repairs that are required.
7. Work alongside Health & Safety Manager to ensure that Facilities processes comply with all legislation and managing ongoing use of such processes to include: Accident Book and Fire Safety.
8. Responsible for acting as main point of contact for the management of any site incidents.
9. Own and manage the site security contract. The site requires 24/7 security provided by a third party.
10. Management of the Facilities team, consisting of two staff.
The Right Person
1. Health and Safety IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
2. Experience within a Facilities Management or account management environment is desirable.
3. Experience of negotiating, managing, and reporting on contracts.
4. Ability to learn about buildings and facilities, particularly health and safety and statutory requirements. Knowledge/experience of project management techniques.
5. Delivery, finisher, able to deliver results in-line with objectives.
6. PC literacy especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
7. Project Management.
8. Customer Relationship Management.
9. Communication skills.
10. Financially aware, analytical.
11. Determined, resilient and highly motivated.
