Position Overview As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share. You will lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless project execution. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the construction market. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for expansion. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and responsiveness. Sales Performance: Drive the achievement of sales targets and revenue goals. Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to make informed business decisions. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery. Collaborate with product development teams to provide market feedback for the enhancement of existing products and the development of new offerings. Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Experience of selling within the construction/building industry. Demonstrable experience of selling to OEMs and distribution. 10 years of successful sales leadership experience within the construction industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
