£29,603 - £44,778 per annum – Depending on skills and experience
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sports and Public Services team. The successful candidate will deliver units up to Level 3 in Sport. You will have extensive industry experience in the sport and fitness industry, sport coaching, and hold the appropriate qualifications to teach specialist qualifications.
As part of the role, you will be involved in interviewing, guidance, initial assessment, selection, and induction of students to learning programmes. You will be required to work as part of the course team in the development, design, review, and evaluation of the curriculum and associated learning materials. You will also be required to take on personal tutor duties as part of this role, and experience in this is desirable.
You should hold at least a Level 3 subject specialist qualification or higher when necessary to teach the subject area at the required level and have relevant industry experience in the subject specialism. BTEC knowledge is preferred, although this is not essential as the College will support you in achieving this as part of your professional development. Ideally, candidates will have a sport science background, although this is not essential.
In addition to teaching, you will be required to include preparation, classroom delivery, marking, and to deliver tutorial activity related to programmes of study.
