Finatal is seeking a Finance Director for a rapidly growing online e-commerce business backed by private equity, currently generating £10 million in revenue. They are committed to innovation and excellence, delivering outstanding products and services to their customers. As they scale their operations and pursue strategic growth opportunities, they are seeking a dynamic Finance Director to join their leadership team.
The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational framework of the company. This individual will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and treasury functions while providing strategic insights to drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity, M&A, and SaaS business models.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
· Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
· Oversee M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration processes.
· Collaborate with the executive team to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities.
· Provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends and risks to inform decision-making.
· Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and banks.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
· Drive operational efficiencies within the finance function, implementing best practices and processes.
· Mentor and develop finance team members to build a high-performing finance organisation.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role
· Worked alongside PE/ VC in a growth setting
· Strong background in M&A, with a track record of successful transactions and integrations.
· Experience in SaaS business models is highly desirable.
· Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
· Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and best practices.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
