As a Shift Operations Manager at our legendary Cadbury factory, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the heart of our operations. What You'll Do: - Lead with Vision : Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and direct reports to meet all our key performance indicators (SQCDM) across the Bournville site. - Drive Excellence : Ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met and exceeded. Be the decision-maker for escalations during your shift. - Foster Growth : Develop your team through setting objectives and personal development plans, ensuring the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line leadership. - Innovate and Improve : Utilize strategic thinking to drive long-term improvements and implement a systematic approach to maintain and enhance operational performance. - Engage and Communicate : Lead shift briefings, facilitate problem-solving groups, and maintain high levels of team morale and engagement. Your Responsibilities Include: - Performance & People Management : Accountable for your team's performance and conduct, ensuring a safe, productive, and high-quality work environment. - Operational Excellence : Ensure timely responses to breakdowns, compliance with preventive maintenance tasks, and delivery of training to operators. - Strategic Leadership : Champion improvement initiatives, oversee workforce planning, and collaborate with trade union representatives to resolve challenges. - Continuous Improvement : Drive safety and quality enhancements, facilitate root cause analyses, and support both internal and external audits. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Proven track record of successfully managing teams in a manufacturing environment. - Role model for professional conduct, integrity, and safety. - Effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels. - Strong decision-making skills and the ability to think on your feet. - Experience with IL6S implementation, labour planning, and handling investigations and disciplinary actions. - Confident leadership presence, capable of managing production impacts and working with trade unions.
