We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Derby, UK. This role is available on both a permanent and locum basis, offering flexibility to suit your career preferences.
As a key member of the rheumatology team, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing a wide range of rheumatic conditions while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care for patients with rheumatological disorders, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, and metabolic bone conditions.
* Lead outpatient rheumatology clinics, ensuring comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in inpatient consultations and referrals from other specialties.
* Contribute to the teaching and training of junior doctors, medical students, and allied healthcare staff.
* Engage in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in rheumatology to ensure best practices.
Requirements:
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
* CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Rheumatology or equivalent.
* Extensive NHS experience in rheumatology.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
