Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Manchester, UK Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking workplace design and build firm. This role offers the opportunity to take the lead on high-profile CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while managing costs, quality, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercial management of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects from start to finish. Prepare, manage, and review cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies. Oversee the tendering and procurement processes for subcontractors and suppliers. Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations. Evaluate and agree on valuations, variations, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors. Provide detailed financial reporting, including cost tracking, forecasts, and cash flow analysis. Lead value engineering initiatives and manage project risks effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams. Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.Key Requirements: Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the fit-out or construction sector, with a focus on CAT A and CAT B projects. In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control techniques. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior team members. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (e.g., RICS accreditation).
