Job Advert
Falkirk Council is seeking a manager for its Bereavement Services to work as part of a small team which reports to the Project Development Co-ordinator. You will ensure compliance with the relevant legislation relating to cemeteries and crematoria, maintain and verify all appropriate records, carry out cemetery development project work, help deliver a compassionate customer service to the bereaved and carry out administration work associated with burials and cremations.
You must be willing to complete all necessary training and be able to achieve the standards required. A recognised qualification in cemetery or crematorium management would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience of working in a busy office environment and dealing with computerised records and databases is essential. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and guidance, project management skills, dealing with complaints and enquiries, and experience of dealing with the public are also desirable.
If this is of interest, and you wish to have an informal discussion about the post, please contact Ian Edwards, Bereavement Services Manager on 07483 452724.
